The International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) is an organization directly under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), jointly initiated and established by the Chinese government, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and other international organizations in May 2005. IPRCC's main responsibilities include carrying out domestic and foreign poverty reduction research, exchanges, cooperation, training and foreign investment project management. Itis an international exchanges platform for poverty reduction and development, and a key channel for the Chinese government to carry out South-South cooperation.
